Zoomies and Good Fortune

Finding the yard covered in snow this morning was a bit surprising (I have not paid attention to the weather reports at all).  But after Maddy's initial reluctance - we had a blast.  She managed to release a bunch of zoomies and catch a few snowballs.

The remainder of the day - typical.  A little laundry, some cleaning, a bit of reading, a movie (Mark Wahlberg "Me Time"), researching anchorages in the Keys and the never ending photo thinning.  Today's top pick - Memere Adam sitting in the living here in Lincoln against the divider into the kitchen opening what I assume to be birthday gifts.

And as Paul pointed out - as I thin pictures and type, I am sitting in the exact same spot - in a recliner against the divider (except probably 60+ years later!).  Check out all the ceramic horses on display made by Lillian and now passed from Megan to Brianna,

And a revisit to banished words.  Listed by Lake Superior University, I enjoy and mostly agree with their nominations that words be banished.  Number one this year - 67.  It was suggested the term by 86'ed.  Another one on the list that I wholeheartedly agree with - "My Bad".  It is soooo insincere and fake.

National First Foot Day!  The first person to enter a home after midnight on the first of the year is viewed as a bringer of good fortune for the coming year.  In this home - Isis is the bringer!  Bring it on!

Paul has found us lodging in St Augustine ($65/night with free breakfast and good reviews!) and the plan is to leave either January 12th or 13th to begin our journey.
