Vero Sunset

A good night in Vero Beach.  We are enjoying breakfast for dinner - pancakes and bacon - with the hatches and door wide open to enjoy the 69 degrees!  We had a successful, albeit tiring day.

We have reinstated the unofficial "rule" of working until noon then using the afternoon to have fun, explore or just act retired.

Paul's project at the moment, as Captain of the power police force, is to rewire Starlink to a different switch.  This will allow us to leave the salon outlets on, ice maker on and laptop charging without using the power to run Starlink.  Typically we only turn Starlink on to watch a movie after dinner - so easy enough to flip a switch at that time.  (And I usually fall asleep watching a movie causing Paul to get out of bed, climb the stairs and flip the switch sometime during the night.)

The cabinet behind the TV is the starting point.

Pull the cabinet drawers out in the guest room.

                                                    Behind the cabinet.

The route for the new wire.

At noon we quit and made the decision to ride bikes to ACE Hardware - a measly 6.4 miles one way.  Easy peasy.  One bridge.  Florida is flat (mostly).  Besides the bridge, it was a fairly easy ride.  With the dedicated bike lane intermittent we did utilize the sidewalk frequently.

From the peak of the bridge the view of the marina is expansive.  Quiet Time's mast is just about visible.

A wooden bridge over one of the many canals.

I waited outside while Paul ran in and bought the items to complete today's project and caulk (project for another day).  And it was right next to a Publix!  Though we only needed a few things, it worked out well.

An uneventful ride back to the marina, easy dinghy ride to the boat and Paul was able to finish before dinner.  Now we are sore but it is a good sore.

The plan - more of the same - morning projects, afternoon TBD daily!

Word of the day - canoodle - to hug and kiss in a romantic way.  Love how it rolls off the tongue!
