Dubois Park, Jupiter, Florida
With the car packed and the boat checked, we headed to Jupiter for the next week. Knowing we would be too early for check in, we headed to Dubois Park at the Jupiter Inlet. What a find!
Seeing the lighthouse from land - weird. Remembering the chaos of crossing this "corner" on the boat allows me to really appreciate this spit of land!
A lagoon with crystal clear water. Not very deep but plenty of room for snorkeling, floating or just standing in the water.
Plenty of benches and picnic tables along the walkway and by the swimming area. Great views of the inlet where we watched boats and jet skis maneuver through the hazardous inlet.
A statue at the end of the inlet to remember all those lost at sea. Prompted by the loss of two 14 year old boys in 2015.
Additional swimming area along the inlet. Separated by boulders and dredging equipment, it was shallow enough and safe for everyone.
FREE parking! Clean bathrooms. Lots of areas to sit. Plenty of room despite plenty of people. Clear, green ocean water. A playground for the kids. This park is a definite must!
The plan - spend time with family while enjoying the awesome South Florida weather!
