Riverbend Park, Jupiter

Our choice this morning for a walk - Riverbend Park along the Loxahatchee River.  With more than 10 miles spread through 5 different trails, we had lots of choices.  So we chose randomly.  A great place to walk (even walking in circles!).

Trails were crushed shells and very well packed.

                                                                A few bridges.

Kayak rentals available for the 4.7 miles of waterway.  I am not brave enough to paddle so close to where alligators most definitely reside.

Besides a battlefield (against the Indians) there is a farmstead.
                            Sugar mill.

                                                        Saw mill.

                                        Gardens and animal enclosures.

A very well done park with lots of options - bike, kayak and canoe rentals, clean bathrooms, nice wide trails and free parking!

Then an afternoon on Juno Beach.  With temperatures in the low 80s and the water temp 76 - bliss.  Aqua green water that was crystal clear - a joy to swim in.  And lots of entertainment - powered parachutes doing daredevil stunts, dogs chasing balls, other dogs and people and the boats.

A yummy dinner and cards completed the night.  I should sleep very well!
