Clearwater, Florida (Finally!)
We began our day leisurely knowing our Clearwater check-in was 4pm and our last errand in Fort Lauderdale required a business that did not open until 9am.
This "little" guy was busy eating the leftover cat food the hotel leaves out. He was bigger than my fist.
A cane toad, they are invasive and toxic to dogs and cats! Yuck!
Our errand required a quick trip back to the boat for the titles to the dinghy and the dinghy motor. We never registered either and now is required before we sell them. Okay. There is actually a business down here called Auto Tags. They help you with all the paperwork and do the filing for you at the registry for a nominal fee. Our only problem - the dinghy was property of the Calitri Trust and we did not have a signed copy of the trust. A quick call to our lawyer and we are all good - we should have the new titles and registrations in a couple weeks.
Onward to the west coast! Almost 270 miles and 4 hours in the car - bring it on! With frequent stops to stretch and walk of course. Through the Everglades where the exits were 50+ miles apart but there were numerous rest areas and boat ramps.
Coolosahatchee River Bridge
Entering St Petersburg and our last hour in the car!
After a quick stop at Walmart (we are eating in tonight!), we have settled into our air BNB condo for the week. Cute place with lots of unexpected features - real pots and pans, spices, large, fluffy towels and a full size fridge and oven!
The plan - long hot showers and a slow morning. Then see what the universe has in store for us!
