This year Paul and I "celebrated" Easter in Fort Lauderdale.  Though we had hoped to be on the road by 7 am, we overslept (again) and arrived at the boat later than anticipated.  Our broker had an 11 am showing and we had hoped to accomplish everything prior to their arrival.  Nope.

What we needed to accomplish:  scrub the dinghy interior and check its battery, gas tank and engine.  When we left the boat 3 weeks ago, Paul inadvertently forgot to pull the drain plug.  Our broker happened upon an overflowing dinghy with rain water.  He pulled the plugs and let it drain but how much damage was done - who knows.

So we pulled the battery and ran to Walmart for a new one.  Easter morning - how busy could it be?  It was a circus!  So many people, long lines and lots of yelling.  Still we managed in and out in under 30 minutes.

Then onto the storage unit to finish emptying it.  Again, Easter morning - how busy could it be?  Too many people.  We managed to snag a cart and complete the task in one trip and dodge everyone else and their vehicles.  The car is FULL again.

Lunch was in the car sitting in a park.  Then back to the boat after the showing was finished.

We got lucky.  Paul installed the new battery, finagled the engine back to life, completed draining the small pockets of rain water and scrubbed the interior.  Done by 3pm.

To the hotel for quick showers and onto dinner.  Nachos were perfect.  Quick, filling and yummy.  We are tired.  (Paul is sleeping as I type this!)

The plan - a quick (hopefully) boat errand in the morning and then head west!  To relax in the sun for the week!  In one spot!
