Mashes Sand Beach

The morning misty view from the back balcony.

For our morning walk we drove down the street to Mashes Sand Beach.  Destroyed by Hurricane Michael six years ago it is now slated for rebuilding.   More dogs than people (one lady had 5 or 6 dalmatians) it was pretty deserted.

                                        Someone "donated" chairs.

After lunch we hung out by the pool and played cribbage.  Only a couple other folks were out in the sun with us.  Super quiet community.

Tonight we explored Bald Point.  The first bit of park - good for fishing only.  The second parking area - tiny.  The furthest parking area was a $4 fee - honor system by putting cash in an envelope.  We had $3.75 in change so that's what we paid.
Passing through the meadows to get to the sand and water.
Deer were grazing under the trees.

Soft white sand led to murky mud at low tide.

I was picking up a few shells until I realized they were still occupied!

A very lazy and relaxing day.  We have enjoyed the solitude and quiet especially knowing tomorrow we head for a more congested location.
