Eustis, Maine

Tonight's drive to Trail's End Steakhouse and Tavern in Eustis provided us with amazing scenery and wildlife.  Thursday is Two 'fer.  Two for the price of one.  Introduced to us many, many years ago by Cousin Edgar, it has persevered.  Our choice tonight- sea scallops - yummy!

North Branch Dead River filled with loons.

This morning we had a very successful trip to Farmington.  First stop - Tractor Supply.  Paul found all the nuts and bolts needed for the garage build.  I meandered through the store and found hens and chickens available for sale.

Next stop Walmart for spray paint (some of the new beams have surface rust), salt for the water softener and a few odd groceries.  But the bike with the back sleigh for baby doll - a fast pass.

Then onto Mardens for a looksee.  Look and see what we need.  Paul found nails and screws and stain for the shed.  The kiddie pool/ice cream stand - no thank you!

Word of the day - onomatopoeia - words that imitate natural sounds.  Rain has many - splish, splash, drip, swish, swoosh, sprinkling and spitting.
