Forswunk

Today's goal - remove the old bed and bureau, pick up the new furniture and assemble.  Maddie helped with every task.

Moving the desk chair into the hallway -

perfect spot for Maddie to perch.

Taking the old frame apart - Maddie is keeping
                                                 track of the pieces.

Time for a break and a quick cat nap in the sun -
                                                    Maddie is all in!

                                        Goodbye kids bed!

Hello adult bed!  Much sturdier and moving doesn't
mean waking each other up any more!

                                    Goodbye tiny, crowded bureau.

Hello new bureau with lots of drawers and even a mirror!

The larger pieces required us to eliminate the desk chair and substitute my rocking chair.  We also removed my bedside table and repositioned the computer desk nearby for my nighttime water, phone and book.  So despite the adult size additions, the room actually feels larger and more spacious.

Cardi's basement has come through once again.  Though we were only looking for a new bed frame, we could not resist the crazy pricing for the set.  Paul was able to assemble everything despite a few key pieces missing (thankfully Kevin had spare 2X3s in the garage).

And because we had an empty trailer and truck to return to Megan's - we loaded the furniture headed to next week's yard sale.

Word of the day - forswunk - meaning exhausted from work.  Tiredness is something that is earned.  Definitely appropriate after a day of moving furniture!
