Breaking Dawn

A gorgeous morning to walk.  And with mosquitos chasing me I managed a brisk pace and worked up a nice sweat.

By the time I arrived back at the house Paul was ready to start on the remaining trim.  With me on the peak ladder and him on the short side we managed to install it in one go.  (Taking it up the ladder - harrowing.  Taking it down would have been even uglier.)

The corner pieces (there were 4) was mind boggling
but Paul eventually figured it out.

Before calling it quits for the day, both sides on the far side were completed.

Hopefully the weather will continue to cooperate and we can complete the fourth trim and corner before starting on the peak trim.

And on June 9, 2007 the bear that trashed our trash can came back to visit.  I took this photo from the safety of the back door threshold.  After finding no trash can and all the garbage that had been strewn about gone, he left never to return.

Word of the day - elflock.  Meaning hair tangled into knots, as if twisted by elves during sleep.

Brianna frequently has elflocks!   Here she is in 2021
in Maine with Annie, Fenway and Kevin.
