Biking Acclivity

Today's bike ride took us down to Saddleback Lake.  Downhill all the way - glorious!  We explored the area and then made the climb back up to the house.  Not so glorious but feeling good about the exertion.

There have been many bike rides down to the lake with the kids.

2002:

                                                                    Kevin

                                                                Megan and Paul

2005:
                                                    Kevin and Kyle (neighbor)

                                                        Megan

2007:
                                                                    Scott

                                                            Kevin
This particular ride in 2007 took us down to the lake, through the woods over a walking trail to Route 16 then back through the woods on a snowmobile trail then down Dallas Hill Road back home.  A very circuitous route that was much further than anticipated.  Roughly nine miles of pure adventure!

Our morning was again successful.  While I cut the lawn, did a bit of landscaping and a couple batches of laundry, Paul completed the electrical panels.

Inside the house garage the wire is now tucked away nice and tidy to the panel.

Inside the new garage is the new panel all ready for wires to be run for lights and outlets.

National Dive Bar Day.  The "diviest" bar we have ever experienced was in Cedar Key.  Probably due to hurricane damage, there were minimal amenities.  No food (not even popcorn or peanuts),  mismatched chairs and tables, a sketchy sign and steps to the front entrance.  Best views of the water though with friendly staff and patrons and cold beer.  The ultimate definition of a dive bar.

Word of the day - acclivity.  Meaning an ascending slope.
