After a morning of running around getting things done - Goodwill, bank, library and dog "walking" - we meandered to Connecticut to purchase a new motor for the air compressor.  A gorgeous ride through the middle of nowhere.  But there were tag sales (AKA yard sales).  But there was barely anything interesting at any of them.  Still nice way to enjoy the cool, sunny day.                                                        Lamps with mumps AND measles - very hard to find!                                        Who thought to market these as Chubby Chick (no wonder they didn't sell!)                         ...

Walks and First Days

Image
Another beautiful day.  Difficult to believe it is August with the weather so pleasant and the breezes cooler.  Today we were able to walk in Narragansett with Mom and Maisie.    And we wound up discussing first days of school.  Mine didn't go well.  I was carried football style to the van for preschool.  Go figure!  I wound up loving the fact that they had sooo many crayons!  I loved coloring. Paul followed his mom back to the car.   My kids never looked back.                                                Megan                                                            Kevin            ...

Clement

Another great word of the day - clement - neither too hot or too cold.  That was the weather today.  Absolutely perfect.  Perfect for cutting the grass.  I may not miss raking leaves but cutting the grass, I have always enjoyed.  The smell, the before and after, and the workout.  Perfect for doing errands with the windows down.  We are still purging, gathering supplies for the bathroom reno in Maine and trying to remember everything we forgot to put back on the boat! I thought I would share older pictures of the kids enjoying clement weather!                                                                                                    Paul   ...
