San Sebastian River
Sunset on the San Sebastian River as viewed from the port side sugar scoop of Quiet Time! We are in the water! Our "ride" arrived just after 130pm. Watching them lift Quiet Time off the blocks is a bit nerve racking (especially after last year's drop at Thunderbolt!).
As we were lowered into the basin, all three dock hands had their work cut out for them. The current here is extreme. While they held us tight port side, I had fenders up and down the starboard side holding us off the concrete.
First check - for leaks. Paul's through hull job - perfect! No leaks detected.
Second - engines. Port side no issues. Starboard a little difficult initially then purred.
Off we went to the dock space they "offered" after Paul asked a couple times. We paid for the month so we should be able to complete the month (dry or wet it should not matter). So the three of them wrangled us out of the extreme current and onto a dock in back of a multimillion dollar yacht. Yikes! But we did good and we are secure for the night.
Generator - runs great. Port toilet - up and running. Washer - well, that I broke.
The plan - TBD. As long as we are gone by the time everyone comes back to work on Monday, we could stay put. We'll check the weather and decide - soonish.
In the meantime, we are enjoying the quiet (relatively since the seagulls are LOUD!).
Our "backyard" tonight. With a pod of dolphins swimming back to the ICW.
