We left Rangeley early and headed to Dixmont, Maine to pick up 30 fence posts from a very nice man in a very old barn.  But at more than $600 savings - we were happy to travel through the back roads of Maine.  Beautiful farms, barely any traffic and a gorgeous day made the extra miles almost painless. After 8 hours on the road we made a quick drop off at Megan and TJs - new nursery curtains hung and Fenway back with his pal Annie.  My big accomplishment today - turning the crib bumpers from Aunty Karen (used in Peter's crib) into window valances.  After ripping 13 feet of seams and removing the batting, I recut and resewed everything into what turned out to be really cute window treatments!  (I only cursed once.)  Today's adventure started a bit later than usual.  Rangeley Health Center was very accomodating in seeing Emily who has developed impetigo.  (Brianna has been on antibiotics for a week with the same issue and of course she shared!) So we arrived just after 2pm on the Kennebago River.  TJ drew the short straw and had to share with both girls.  (And no they were not given paddles!) The day was perfect - sun, a bit of wind and temps in the low 70s.  The water was lower than normal so the current - barely moving.
