Small's Falls

 


Today's adventure - Small's Falls.  With temperatures in the low 70s and water temps in the mid 60s - only the girls swam (and only after much hesitation!).  A beautiful day with a nice breeze and lots of sun.

They also braved a jump in one of the few deep pools (water levels are the lowest I have ever seen them).

Then after almost good behavior they earned a trip to Pine Tree Frosty.  Really yummy Gifford's ice cream and there was no line!

 Then of course it was time to feed the ducks - another favorite past time behind the building on Haley Pond.
                                                So pretty!

                                            Emily braved the ducks eating out of her hands.

And Paul had a productive day between excursions. 
                  New braces on a couple of the carport posts to ensure stability with increased snow loads.


                           And the top trim on the door was installed.  The door - officially done!

The day continues with an after dinner walk/bike ride, swings, and School House Rock the Top 25.  I think everyone can recite a couple of those songs!  

Word of the day - verdure.  Meaning green leaves or plants.

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Meanwhile Paul and I are still at the marina dock.  Last night I mentioned breaking the washing machine.  Then I thought I broke the toilet (or forgot how to use a marine toilet).  Turns out the water pump died causing the washer to become confused and the toilet not to fill properly.  Ugh.  We have a foot pump for water at the kitchen sink so we made do last night and then went to bed. This morning Paul switched out the pump for the spare we had on board.  Another spare has been ordered and we will grab from Marc's when we get to Palm Beach. Getting Real (Close)

 It's getting close.  All the planning.  All the decision making.  Tonight was the beginning of the celebration of Kevin and Isis. The venue is beautiful.     The rehearsal went well.   Isis - super focused.  Kevin and Dan - watching butterflies. Everything will go smoothly and everyone will remember where they are supposed to be and when. And we all know that only the bride is the focus unless something extraordinary occurs (Fall, fainting, vomiting).   Isis has assigned us all tasks.  Love it!  I get to be the family wrangler!!!  Perfect!  Thank you! Dinner at Avellino - supreme.  From the appetizers to the main course (best vegan dish ever!), and to the chocolate tort - everything was perfectly yummy.  The service - outstanding.  Great choice kids!   So many smiling, happy people.  Blessed.
