Jones' Pier Conservation Area

When choosing a destination for our morning bike ride Jones' Pier looked close enough.  What I thought was only slightly further than our ride yesterday turned out to be incorrect.  Stupid SIRI.  It was more than 7 miles.

Once there we dawdled (aka recovered).  There were swings, benches, a clean bathroom and lots to see.

Jungle Trail continued north.  We did not.

After we recovered sufficiently we started the trek back.  We made it about 5 miles before disaster occurred.  My bike rear tire was flat again!  Ugh.

We started walking the bikes back on the hot sidewalk (82 degrees today) along A1A.  Hot, noisy, minimal breeze - time to ditch the bikes.  So we did.  With only 3 days left and knowing Amazon would take a day for a new tube and not even sure why the tubes keep flattening and knowing we would have to give the bikes up in Ft Lauderdale - a no brainer to just walk away.

So we started walking away.  But silly me - I chose to wear flip flops.  Okay for riding but not walking long distances.  Uber saved the day.

Amazon meanwhile had delivered the part for the dinghy motor to the marina.  Paul grabbed it from the office and began the job as soon as we returned to the boat.

A little itty bitty impeller needed to be changed out.

A bit of a challenge while the dinghy was in the water, but Paul got the job done.

Showers, dinner and a movie and I am ready for bed!

The plan - try not to break anything else and learn the shuttle schedule.
