Mountain Day

 Mountain Day.  And what mountains we are enjoying!  The sunset on the way back from town tonight was captivating.  We have found the best time to visit IGA - just before they close.  And we found out (from Dorothy our neighbor) that on Tuesdays seniors get a discount!  I'll take it!


 Today Paul installed the hangers for the rafters along both the garage wall and the far beam - 46 in total.


Then after cutting the correct angle, each beam was lifted into place and nailed securely.

                                         The last five (of 23) rafters will be hung tomorrow.

                                            Somehow I missed painting them yesterday kooooo88and then the sun did not cooperate drying them out until mid afternoon.  (It rained an inch overnight and everything was soaked.)

Play in the Sand Day.  So many trips to the beach!

Word of the day - phantasmagoria.  I came across this word in the book I am presently reading (Dean Koontz), used to describe the lights and chaos of Las Vegas.  Meaning a constantly shifting complex succession of things seen or imagined.

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Meanwhile Paul and I are still at the marina dock.  Last night I mentioned breaking the washing machine.  Then I thought I broke the toilet (or forgot how to use a marine toilet).  Turns out the water pump died causing the washer to become confused and the toilet not to fill properly.  Ugh.  We have a foot pump for water at the kitchen sink so we made do last night and then went to bed. This morning Paul switched out the pump for the spare we had on board.  Another spare has been ordered and we will grab from Marc's when we get to Palm Beach. Getting Real (Close)

 It's getting close.  All the planning.  All the decision making.  Tonight was the beginning of the celebration of Kevin and Isis. The venue is beautiful.     The rehearsal went well.   Isis - super focused.  Kevin and Dan - watching butterflies. Everything will go smoothly and everyone will remember where they are supposed to be and when. And we all know that only the bride is the focus unless something extraordinary occurs (Fall, fainting, vomiting).   Isis has assigned us all tasks.  Love it!  I get to be the family wrangler!!!  Perfect!  Thank you! Dinner at Avellino - supreme.  From the appetizers to the main course (best vegan dish ever!), and to the chocolate tort - everything was perfectly yummy.  The service - outstanding.  Great choice kids!   So many smiling, happy people.  Blessed.
