Quiet Time Goodbye

I awakened determined to finish the work despite the suffocating humidity.  As the sun was rising we walked from the hotel back to the marina.  Only 1  1/2 miles it was an easy walk but sweaty due to the humidity - super sweaty!  (temp at 7am -76, humidity - 93%!!!!)

The hotel had a great breakfast including fajitas and 4 types of coffee! (Free!)

A very different side of St Augustine than we have seen full of remodels and authentic coastal homes.

Our hurricane straps have been placed and Quiet Time looks secure!

The guest beds are covered in drop cloths and my vacuum bags filled with clothing and linens.

Our new dehumidifier drains into the kitchen sink and onto the ground.

The fridge and freezer are cleaned and left opened.

With ice still melting, there is a drain onto the ground below.

We hung fly tape since we were bombarded with flies while finishing up this morning.  Our extra freezer is tucked under the table along with our extra seating/storage benches.

Our bed has our Starlink satellite and our new cockpit cushions.  All our closets and bathroom cupboards have Damprid buckets.  The humidity is so high down here we hope to prevent mold and mildew.

We Ubered back to the hotel (He had no AC!!!!) and showered before Lorelei and Mori drove us back to Daytona (thank you!!!).  We arrived well before check in but Quality Inn took care of us!

A truly lazy rest of day.  We tried Carrabba's for the first time - not bad!  (They had Sam's Summer Ale!)

The plan - be at the airport for 4am and fly home!!!!
