Lake Worth

A gorgeous, though cool, sunrise at Peck Lake.

We dawdled a bit before leaving this morning.  Jupiter Inlet is a tricky one and Paul planned to pass on a rising tide.  So 9am was our intended departure time.

While we waited Paul ordered me a new phone.  Yup, I broke mine.  The lower part of my screen no longer works which makes texting a challenge and picture taking impossible.

Much warmer today despite the wind.  Lots of bridges with great bridgemasters - one super helpful and one super snippy.  Also lots of boat traffic (unexpected midweek).

                                                Hobe Sound Bridge

Jupiter Bridge - new and lovely!

                                                    Jupiter Lighthouse
                                                                                                        North
                                                            South

Jupiter Island Bridge (4) opens on request
aim for the green buoy while avoiding oncoming boats,
watch depth - we saw 3.5 feet for a bit despite being as
close to the green as possible
                                            take a 90 degree turn
                                            avoid dredging barges (red XXX)
turn towards the lighthouse while simultaneously calling the
bridge master to open Jupiter bridge and avoiding all
                                                boats and paddle boarders
take a hard left and breathe!

This was by far the hardest 0.7 miles of today's trip!

We "ducked" under the last bridge of the day - Parker Bridge - and entered Lake Worth.  There were even a couple of manatees floating along.

                                            Peanut Island

Following the traffic around the island

We anchored quickly and easily - few boats are here and began enjoying the 81 degrees!

The plan - south again and pass under 10 - 12 bridges tomorrow alone!  Good times.

I try to envision the next "chapter" of our retirement and it is blurry.  I know we will be in south Florida for a bit while we wait for the boat to sell.  I know we will have to drive the boat for the sea trial and raise her sails for prospective buyers.  Then... who knows.  But there will be plenty of sunrises and sunsets!
