Vaticinate

There really is no reason to check the weather forecast since again it was so wrong.  Today's original forecast - almost an inch of rain, possible flurries and high winds.  We awoke to sunny skies and feel like temp of 27.  A high of 51 and no precipitation.  The radar - nothing in the vicinity.  So after a quick trip to town to grab gas for the chainsaw and to mail Brianna a quick note, we commenced outdoor tasks.

The floating docks are out and the lake was calm.

Laundry on the clothesline dried quick in the wind.

Paul completed the spray painting of the middle beam while also tightening bolts that for some reason were left loose.

Meanwhile, I decided to fix our fire pit.  Because the pit is at the end of the driveway, the plow winds up knocking it over every winter.  I dug out almost 4 wheelbarrows full of ash and debris and righted all the stones.  It is now ready to go!

Word of the day - vaticinate.  Meaning to foretell the future.  I don't need to know the future - just a forecast close to correct.
