With the forecast of rain through the night and all day tomorrow - we headed out after supper to catch the sunset. Stunning with the mountains and lupine.
Rangeley Lake Mooselookmeguntic Lake
The forecast this morning - rain at 2pm. So I hurried to hang laundry on the line and wash the boat while Paul cut the grass. Of course we needed to visit the hardware store for a hose and nozzle first. Under the two tarps the boat was
filthy. Bucket after bucket of soapy water. Breaks inside the house when the biting flies became too ferocious. I wasn't too worried about taking breaks because the forecast changed to rain beginning at 5pm, then 7pm. I managed to finish about 85% of the cleaning. All the surfaces are clean but no lockers or under the seat cushions. Thunder and dark clouds arrived at 2pm though the rain held off until we were returning from our sunset ride.
Before the wash. The covers I washed separately on sawhorses and let them dry on the deck in full sun.
After the wash we hurried and backed into the garage. Word of the day - wifty. Meaning ditzy, eccentrically silly or scatterbrained. (Who knew there were so many words that mean ditzy!)
