Bonus Day!

 My favorite September 3rd photo:

The torrential rains this morning meant we had time for errands.  Another trip to Lowe's then Home Depot (saved $30) and Tractor Supply for bolts.  Coming out of Tractor Supply - SUN!

Lunch, quiet time and then with everything mostly dry - back at it.  Paul began digging holes for the fence posts.  Thankfully the tractor does all the dirt removal.

The first holes along the right side of the house went well.
The concern - here is where the septic lays.

The right back corner required some tree/bush trimming.

The back perimeter is a long one and Paul has just begun
the arduous task along the remaining trees and their roots.

Meanwhile I completed the garden in front of the kitchen window.

                                                                    After

And the largest garden in front of the living room window and encircling the corner - remains "in progress".  Not only are the weeds out of control, the bushes and perennials have all overgrown their "spot".  Lots of trimming.  I called it quits after filling another 4 barrels.

And Paul wound up going back to Lowe's for another roll of fabric and 12 bags of mulch.  Already I have emptied 11 bags.  Ugh.  Still, we were happy to see today and make progress.

Word of the day - brickbat.  Meaning a fragment of hard material (such as brick), an uncomplimentary remark.
