National Grandparents Day.  Being a grandparent is awesome and we had awesome grandparents!

Our day today started a bit later than scheduled due to rain (not predicted).  But by 9am the mist was light and work began.  An additional 17 posts were cemented in place, there are 13 sono tubes awaiting posts and 3 additional holes dug and waiting for both.  With Scott and his friend Josh doing the cementing, Paul digging and running back to Lowe's (more cement), I was able to rake cut branches and fill another 5 barrels with yard debris.  

                                                    The back line of posts is complete.

                                                    The corner posts are finished.



                                        The first couple posts on the left side of the property are in.

With Megan, TJ and Brianna in Rangeley, Kevin and Isis in New York, Don and Kim in Florida and Karen, Alan and Layla at the zoo, we are not feeling like the retired couple!  

The plan - finish the post installation tomorrow and then prepare for departure south!

Word of the day - apropos.  Meaning having to do with the matter at hand, relevant.

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Meanwhile Paul and I are still at the marina dock.  Last night I mentioned breaking the washing machine.  Then I thought I broke the toilet (or forgot how to use a marine toilet).  Turns out the water pump died causing the washer to become confused and the toilet not to fill properly.  Ugh.  We have a foot pump for water at the kitchen sink so we made do last night and then went to bed. This morning Paul switched out the pump for the spare we had on board.  Another spare has been ordered and we will grab from Marc's when we get to Palm Beach.
