Ready Or Not Here She Comes

 Today was not anything like how I thought it would turn out.  With an early phone call that Megan's water had broke, everything shifted.  Thank you Don for taking Paul to his appointment while I headed to Women and Infants Hospital with Megan and TJ. 

The staff, alerted by Lisa and Donna, were waiting for us.

A quick admission to ACU where progress started slow until I pulled out a puzzle and ordered dinner. Thank you Katie for being a part of our adventure!

                    I chose the smallest one and still we only managed a dozen pieces before leaving.

Then we were hurried to the labor room where Megan found relief with an epidural.  Nice new, large rooms with lots of amenities.  Lots of familiar faces that is reassuring while Megan labors.

So now we wait again.  But baby girl Williams is being good and tolerating the contractions like a champ.  (I already knew Megan was a champ!)

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Meanwhile Paul and I are still at the marina dock.  Last night I mentioned breaking the washing machine.  Then I thought I broke the toilet (or forgot how to use a marine toilet).  Turns out the water pump died causing the washer to become confused and the toilet not to fill properly.  Ugh.  We have a foot pump for water at the kitchen sink so we made do last night and then went to bed. This morning Paul switched out the pump for the spare we had on board.  Another spare has been ordered and we will grab from Marc's when we get to Palm Beach. Merry Christmas!

 Merry Christmas!  Paul and I spent the day in the least stressful, most pleasant and blessed way.  Church with Scott and Rebecca - perfect start.  Breakfast by TJ with Megan and Brianna - yum!  An early afternoon nap.  A visit with Mom, Karen and Alan and briefly with Layla.  Back to Megan's to feed all the animals dinner - both horses, both dogs and the cat.  A final clean up of Christmas Eve festivities.  Back to Kevin and Isis' to dog sit, relax and watch a movie.  All serene and low key - priceless.
