Sand Hill Cove, Narragansett, Rhode Island

This morning we slept in and even had our coffee in bed.  With plans to have lunch in Narragansett, we opted to not begin a new section of fencing but take the whole day off.

Arriving early at Mom's, we sorted pictures from an old digital camera that no longer worked.  After a bit of frustration at needing to convert the chosen files, I managed to get the treasured ones onto Mom's IPad.  My favorite:

                                                Marc and Chloe 2015

Lunch was chowder and clam cakes from Iggy's.  Yum!  Then our walk to Sand Hill Cove.  A bit breezy and overcast kept our outing short.

Mom, Scott, Rebecca, Paul and Megan on the new boardwalk.

With overcast skies, everything was muted to a similar gray hue.

Brianna and I hunted the shoreline for treasures.  Besides numerous shells and rocks we found:
                                                            Horseshoe crab shell

                                            A banded lobster claw.

A chondrocranium of a mature Winter Skate.
                                        (Thank you Google!)

                                                        Brianna

                                                    Beach roses with THORNS

Brianna again with a great smile!

Word of the day - argentine.  Meaning the color grey, silver.  The color of the sky today - argentine!
