A Day Off
After missing mass this morning (I thought 8am but mass starts at 730am) we decided to take the day off. It seems that Rangeley has been deserted for the season. There are no people to be found anywhere. Very peaceful.
We headed to Quill Hill, a favorite destination both by car and snowmobile. Being that high it was CHILLY (and windy!).
Adrian Brochu, during his retirement, is primarily responsible for the 4 mile road to the top of Quill Hill. This is his legacy and took from 2008 to 2013 to convert a logging road to a road accessible to cars, snowmobiles and even wheelchairs. "If you don't dream it, it sure as hell will never happen". Thank you Adrian.
We ate our picnic lunch at Flagstaff Lake. Our "day off" was from painting and construction. Still, we did accomplish a few things. Paul installed our new bathroom faucet (LOVE it!) and I purged more. How did all this stuff accumulate?
Here are my favorite photos of the day:
Paul and Megan (3 weeks old)I have decided not to post any more photos of the bathroom reno until completion. The end is in sight!
And Quill Hill makes me think of Kevin and Isis.
