Inspiration

Sometimes the people that "invent" those crazy, silly holidays get it right.  Today was one of those days.

Inspire Your Heart With Art Day.  Yesterday while taking our walk we came across a life size sculpture.  Titled "A Little To The Right", we actually thought it was a joke.  Why this sculpture in this park at the pier?  Why bronze skin?  So I researched the artist.

Seward Johnson utilizes his sculptures to strengthen communities.  In Ormond there are 12 of his pieces scattered along West and East Granada Boulevard and the four parks on the four edges of the bridge - Bailey Riverbridge Gardens, Cassen Park, Fortunato Park and Rockefeller Gardens.

More information can be found at - https://www.ormondarts.com/sculptures

This morning's goal - a scavenger hunt to locate all 12 pieces.  We parked the car and located all the ones west of the bridge and completed the find after parking the car on the east side.  We wound up walking more than 2.5 miles!

A late lunch and a quiet afternoon before we headed to 4pm mass.  With winds predicted to gust in the high 30s and the temps in the 20s (feel like 9 ?!?!), I am not sure we will be sleeping well or want to venture out in the morning.

And that is our second more than appropriate silly holiday - Hell is Freezing Over Day!  We are in Central Florida and thought we would be warmer than freezing!

Our heater is going and blankets are piled on the bed.  Worst case if we get too cold - warm up in the car.  (LOL)

We have 6 dock lines securing us to the dock.  Due to tide changes, there is some slack which allows the boat shift with the wind but hoping for minimal movement.

So the wind is howling and screeching through and around our rigging.  The dock lines are groaning and the dock is creaking.  The windows are steaming.  But we have hot showers and Netflix!  Life is Good!
