Rangeley Warmth

 Just under 300 miles north and the temperature difference feels significant.  Upon our arrival in Rangeley - 37 degrees (which was the high for the day).  Unload the car, unpack the boxes and start the fire.  


We actually started out later than we intended because we SOLD the truck!  And we had to visit with Megan and Charlotte while we waited for the pharmacy to open.  But the traffic - nonexistent.  The weather perfect.  And we made good time.  

Arriving mid afternoon, Paul had time for a quick project.  Installing a smart TV in our bedroom.  

                            The old tube TV and VCR player have been in the same spot since we built the house                             in 1991.  Definitely time for an upgrade - thank you Kevin for the TV!

                              (Yes, the VCR player will be reinstalled after finding the correct wires.)

Word of the day - propitious.  Meaning having qualities that inspire hope, being a good omen.

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Welcome Home Charlotte

 Welcome home Charlotte!                                               Charlotte dressed for the season! My plan today - spend a couple hours finishing laundry, horse care and dishes at Megan and TJ's.  First task - check in with Mark, the farrier.  Though neither horse has shoes, their hooves still grow and require trimming every 7-8 weeks.  Both horses are easy and Mark was done quick.  Thank you Rebecca for completing morning care and field mucking.   I moved to the house where I found the dishes done  (Thank you again Rebecca!).  Okay, I'll make a quick batch of pineapple salsa and toss in a quick load of laundry.  That's when my day turned in to something I never would have imagined.  There was no water!  I ran out to the barn to check the water hadn't been running continuously and the...
