Sleep Like A Baby

 We had the unexpected pleasure of hanging out with the Williams' today.  While Paul helped TJ with car work, I hung out with Megan and Charlotte.  Her new Nemo and Dory playmat is adorable and entertaining.  


Zero Tasking Day.  We came close to but not quite doing nothing today.  After lunch of leftovers, a bit of laundry and dishes (new dishwasher arriving Tuesday), I napped and read while Paul watched the Patriots game.  A quick dinner and playdate with Maddie in the backyard and the day is done.  

With the time change my sleep schedule (already messed up) will probably be even messier.  Thankfully being retired requires no life altering decisions and I can always nap!

 I am so, so happy for these guys!   Love you all!  The photos capture the happiness and love perfectly!  And that kid - how adorable and enchanting and priceless!  A simple ceremony in Maine including snow - doesn't get much better than that! Meanwhile Paul and I are still at the marina dock.  Last night I mentioned breaking the washing machine.  Then I thought I broke the toilet (or forgot how to use a marine toilet).  Turns out the water pump died causing the washer to become confused and the toilet not to fill properly.  Ugh.  We have a foot pump for water at the kitchen sink so we made do last night and then went to bed. Welcome Home Charlotte

 Welcome home Charlotte!                                               Charlotte dressed for the season! My plan today - spend a couple hours finishing laundry, horse care and dishes at Megan and TJ's.  First task - check in with Mark, the farrier.  Though neither horse has shoes, their hooves still grow and require trimming every 7-8 weeks.  Both horses are easy and Mark was done quick.  Thank you Rebecca for completing morning care and field mucking.   I moved to the house where I found the dishes done  (Thank you again Rebecca!).  Okay, I'll make a quick batch of pineapple salsa and toss in a quick load of laundry.  That's when my day turned in to something I never would have imagined.  There was no water!  I ran out to the barn to check the water hadn't been running continuously and the...
